Aside from helping with the wedding planning, another huge part of being a bridesmaid is planning the last hurrah for the bride! Vegas is definitely one of the go-to bachelorette party destinations, not only because it’s party central, but also for the versatile choices such as performances, sightseeing and shopping.
In a couple of weeks, a few of the girls from our Pastel Dress Party team are going to Sin City for a short trip to recharge, so we wanted share our favourite day-to-night makeup look to inspire all the eligible bachelorettes that are making a trip there too!
First up on our itinerary is a day trip to explore the Grand Canyon. It's 5-hour drive from the Strip but you can always join a bus or helicopter tour if you're not up for the road trip. We're planning to spend most of the day outdoors, leisure hiking and sightseeing. (Find unexpected deals here if you need help with planning!) We Pastel Dress Party girls need look the part for the perfect photo op with Grand Canyon backdrop, so we gotta get a little primped up.
Natural Day Look for Outdoor Adventures
Starting with a clean moisturized face, we put on an oil-controlling primer and SPF. Since we're expecting to be in the sun the whole day, this step is a must.
Next we move on to the makeup -- the key is to not to overdo it. We recommend keeping it simple with a light foundation or BB cream, subtle contouring, a natural pink blush, one coat of mascara and a bit of dark brown eyeliner near the lash line. To add a bit of color, we added a bit of rose tinted lip balm, but this step is completely optional.
After a day at the Grand Canyon, it’s time to freshen up for the evening. Growing up in the 00s, the hottest to-do in Vegas for us millennials is attending a Britney Spears’ or Backstreet Boys’ concert. It’s hard to refrain from dressing up as Britney in her… Baby One More Time school girl outfit, but we will try.
Night Look Inspired by 00s Throwback
For our evening look, we wanted to add drama to the eyes and glam up our look with some heavy duty contouring. Most venues are dark at night with limited lighting, so don’t be afraid to get a little heavy handed with your makeup.
We started with rimming the eyes with some black eyeliner and then smudging it with a cotton swab for a quick smokey eye. To achieve the perfect Kardashian contour, blend the contour color into the hollows of the cheeks, sides of the nose, jawline and hairline. Remember to blend like there's no tomorrow to avoid any harsh edges! To complete our millennium throwback, we finished the look with a pink nude lip and put on a delicate leather choker to add a edgy flair.
We hope you enjoyed our Vegas day-to-night look!
